FAQs

Can I attend business meetings without a business visa?

Not with this visa. The eVISA Single Entry Visa for a social visit covers tourism, visiting family or friends, and short-term events. For meetings, choose Business above and apply for the eVISA Single Entry Visa with business as the purpose, which needs a company dispatch letter or an invitation letter.

Can I stay longer?

Plan to leave Malaysia within the stay you are given on entry. We could not confirm from official sources whether eVISA holders can extend their stay, so ask us before you travel if you may need more time.

Is the arrival card the same as the visa?

No. The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is a separate online form. Every traveller, including Bhutanese passport holders, must submit it within 3 days before arriving in Malaysia, with or without a visa. Submit it only on the official site. Apax Gateway does not charge for arrival cards.

How early should I apply?

Apply at least 14 days before you travel. Malaysia says eVISA applications take 2 to 7 working days, and you must have the eVISA before you enter Malaysia.

Can I apply myself?

Yes. You can apply yourself on Malaysia's official eVISA site and pay only the government fee. If you would like us to check your documents and apply for you, our service fee is SGD 80.00 per traveller, refunded in full if your visa is refused. Malaysia's eVISA fees are not refundable.
